Phil and pauls weddingg

As of June 26, 2016, gay marriage had been legal in the state of Texas. Shortly after gay marriage was legalized, I received a email from a couple friends who worked for the local skateshop, Goodtimes. The email was from Phil Travers and Paul Ynostrosa. These two had been in a relationship since I had first started going to Goodtimes around the age of 8 or 9. Phil and Paul wasted no time in planning the day that they would have their wedding. Why should they? They treated their relationship as one that had been wed since I met them. Anyways, the email was in regards to being the photographer of their wedding. I was shocked because I didn't even know gay marriage was even legal in Texas yet. Being that is was so soon after the legalization, I was sure that gay marriage was still a sore subject in Texas; being that Texas is not as progressive as other states. That being said, I was honored to the person they chose to shoot their wedding! Good luck to both Paul and Phil in the future, and congrats!

Paul and Phil Engagement

In 2015 we live in a world or acceptance and equality. The line that limits the rights to individuals beliefs are finally starting to be erased. Phil and Paul are too individuals who finally have the same marriage privileges as any male or female who wish to get married. I am proud that they as well as every other couple being that they are man and women, man and man or women and women now are given the same rights. Hopefully we continue to invite acceptance to all genres of equality in the future. And to Phil and Paul, I wish you a long happy life together.

The Flood On River Road

6/15/2015

The recent flooding from the storms that have been hovering around Austin, San Marcos and Wimberly, Texas have caused damage to the lives of many of the residents in the area. I went out with a old expired roll of 100iso film and shot some of the damage to the houses and river areas located near River Road. Sadly, many of the people living in Wimberly and San Marcos, lost their most of their possessions. In worst cases, some people lost their life. This is just one roll of film that I have shot but there will be more coming soon.

I finally went and purchased some film and have began caring my camera around again. I should be posting alot more 35mm photos throughout the summer.
This landscape captured my eye everytime i passed it on my way to Austin due to how many lines are created throughout the landscape and the constructed road that stands before it

My book is finished and ready for sales. It is a short monolith detailing some of the myths and tales about Enchanted Rock that have been passed along through time. These myths originally came from the Native American Tribes that resided in the area hundreds of years ago. Today, these myths seem to be brought to life by tourist who describe the Native tales as haunting that now lurk in throughout the Enchanted Rock park. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of the book you can order it online for $15 or you can purchase the online print for $7.50.
