After starting out their season with 14 losses, the Stars finally captured their first victory. Up until June 30th, the Stars had struggled to pull off their first victory. With a team of young, high-draft picks, it seemed like it would be easier than what presumed. However, it had been a battle, up until Friday night. Isabelle Harrison was masterful. With 22 points and 10 rebounds, she led the way for her Stars. But, she was not alone. With her was Alex Montgomery, putting up 10 points and 12 rebounds. Moriah Jefferson also played a huge role; scoring 13 points and dishing out eight assists. The Stars were just too much to handle for the Chicago Sky. Although Allie Quigley, with her 27 points, continued to make a push for the win, they just could not over power the team-work of the Stars. The Stars would have taken their first victory on the season, winning 89-82. For more on the Stars first victory, click here.
