Mr. Fest Prep

Mr. Fest is exactly a month away and KTSW is working hard to make this year’s event better than ever
KTSW’s Mr. Fest is an event created for bands and artist to play shows to the public for free. The event will take place downtown San Marcos in different bars and music venues on April 29th and 30th. KTSW has already booked most of the artist that will be preforming during the event. However, they are still working to make this year’s event better than last years.
“We just finished booking all our bands for Mr. Fest and were trying to close a deal with another headliner, that way we have two headliners this year,” said KTSW Production staff Nestor Valasquez. “Our multimedia department is also pitching ideas to get more video coverage and interviews with the bands to make this year more interactive.”
Many of the artist preforming at Mr. Fest are also working hard to make their shows more exciting to their audience. Some bands have even been creating all new music exclusively for the festival.
“Last year was the first time we played at Mr. Fest, and all of our material was material our audience had already heard before. So lately we have been working on a lot of new music that we will be preforming for the first time at the shows this year,” said Two Lips lead singer Stephen Sholtz.
KTSW and many of the bands still have more work to do to make Mr. Fest a hit this year. However, KTSW will be posting updates about bands, show times and more on their Twitter and Facebook.
